Parishes must welcome, hear people if they are to grow, pope says
After months of study and discussion, the parishes of the Diocese of Rome have recognized "a general and healthy exhaustion" with doing the same things over and over, touching the lives of fewer and fewer people as time goes on, Pope Francis said.

It might be difficult to find two more dissimilar parishes in the Archdiocese of Chicago than St. Stanislaus Kostka, on Noble Street at Evergreen Avenue, and Immaculate Conception in Highland Park.
